SCCC and Bank of Ayudhya Jointly Celebrate Success of First Deep Tier Supply Chain on Blockchain
Siva Mahasandana (3rd right), Director and CEO of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC); and Mr. Dennis van Heezik (2nd right), CEO of INSEE Digital Company Limited; together with Sayam Prasitsirikul (center), Head of SME Banking Group of Bank of Ayudhya PCL (BAY) and Thakorn Piyapan (3rd left), Head of Krungsri Consumer Group and Head of Digital Banking and Innovation at BAY; jointly hosted an event to celebrate the success of their pilot project in which BAY and SCCC have collaborated to develop Supply Chain on Blockchain system with the use of the world’s latest technologies – Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI) – into new blockchain-based solutions for SCCC’s dealers and sub-dealers. Marking the first of its kind in the construction industry and the first deep tier supply chain on blockchain, the innovative and user-friendly system enables smooth product purchasing processes in SCCC's supply chain ranging from purchase orders, purchase orders approval and product shipment to invoices, billing notes, settlements and payment. The transactions were already occurred for the first time in Thailand in accordance with the regulations of the Bank of Thailand.
