The INSEE Prize 2026 journey has reached an important milestone with the successful Semi-final Presentation, where outstanding teams confidently presented their innovative ideas and solutions to real-world community challenges before the Jury. At the same time, in August 2026, the winning project of INSEE Prize 2025 – the “Sensory Garden” Library – officially broke ground at My Lam Charity School for Children with Disabilities in An Giang Province, continuing the journey of transforming ideas from INSEE Prize into meaningful projects that create practical value for the community.

Recently, INSEE Vietnam successfully organized the INSEE Prize 2026 Semi-final Presentation, marking an important milestone in its journey of discovering, supporting, and promoting young initiatives that seek to create positive, practical, and sustainable value for the community. At the event, the participating teams presented diverse perspectives and highly applicable solutions, ranging from architecture and functional optimization to space utilization, as well as the selection and development of sustainable materials. These ideas aim to create spaces and facilities that better respond to the practical needs of underserved and vulnerable communities. Alongside innovative architectural concepts, material-related projects also introduced new approaches, proposing creative and sustainable solutions with strong potential for practical application, thereby contributing meaningful value to the construction industry.

Behind every presentation was thorough preparation, a strong spirit of learning, and the teams’ continuous efforts, complemented by the support of an experienced Jury of experts in Architecture and Materials: Mr. Vu Linh Quang – Executive Director of Ardor Architects; Mr. Do Huu Nhat Quang – Business Development Director of GreenViet; Ms. Ly Thi Thuy Huong – Director of the Vilandco Branch in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Ha Ngoc Anh Minh – Managing Director of Kingspan Vietnam; and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung – Head of Construction Department, INSEE Vietnam. Through professional questions, multidimensional perspectives, and in-depth feedback, the Jury helped the teams broaden their approaches, gain deeper insights into the feasibility of their ideas, and further refine their solutions. This process brought innovative ideas closer to real-world application, gradually turning concepts into action and creating positive, practical value for the community and the construction industry.

A representative of INSEE Vietnam shared: “INSEE Prize is one of the initiatives that reflects INSEE’s long-term commitment to supporting the community and the younger generation. We believe that positive change can begin with initiatives that are practical and closely connected to everyday life. What matters is giving students the opportunity to be heard, challenge themselves, and receive support to turn their ideas into tangible value for society.” Following the Semi-final round, the projects will continue to be evaluated by the Jury to select outstanding initiatives for the next stages. The INSEE Prize 2026 journey will continue to connect young people who share the aspiration to create positive impact, while inspiring a proactive spirit of contribution to the community and building a sustainable future.

The journey from ideas to action is also being carried forward through projects from previous INSEE Prize editions. In August 2026, the “Sensory Garden” Library – the winning project of INSEE Prize 2025 – officially broke ground at My Lam Charity School for Children with Disabilities in An Giang Province, which provides care, education, and support for students with special needs, including children with hearing and visual impairments, as well as children with disabilities and developmental conditions such as autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and other special support needs.

Following site surveys and discussions with the school’s leadership, local authorities, the Organizing Committee, and the INSEE Prize 2025 winning student team, it was determined that the school was a suitable location for the project to maximize its community impact. The student team subsequently continued to research and refine the design and functionality to better meet the practical needs of the school and its students. The project was developed with the aspiration of creating a space where students can learn, play, explore, and interact through multiple senses in a safe, welcoming environment closely connected with nature.

The project has also received support from various agencies, organizations, and businesses, including An Giang Province Newspaper and Radio & Television (ATV); Vinh Thong Ward People’s Committee; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Thong Ward; Kingspan Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Knauf Vietnam; Sika Limited Vietnam; Manh Phuong Electric Equipment Joint Stock Company (MPE); REE Electrical Appliance Corporation (Reetech); Nippon Paint (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.; Greenpan Joint Stock Company; GreenViet Green Building Consulting Co., Ltd.; and the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC).

The groundbreaking of the “Sensory Garden” marks a meaningful milestone, demonstrating how ideas developed through INSEE Prize can gradually be transformed into projects that deliver practical value to the community. It also serves as an inspiration for INSEE Vietnam to continue supporting future generations, ensuring that each initiative goes beyond being an idea and can become a concrete action that creates positive change and lasting value for society.
