The year 2022 is successful with many important steps to restore the position of many leading enterprises in the country, including INSEE Vietnam. With a lot of efforts in balancing the triple goals of Prosperity, Environmental Protection and Social Responsibility, INSEE Vietnam was honored to be awarded consecutively for the 7th time in a row in the Top 100 Sustainable Development Enterprises in Vietnam hosted by VCCI and was awarded the Saigon Times CSR Award 4 years in a row organized by The Saigon Times Magazine.

In 2022, INSEE Vietnam has been awarded many prestigious awards for Sustainable Development, Saigon Times CSR and Best Place to Work in Vietnam, etc. Most recently, in December 2022, INSEE once again affirmed its position when it received the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises Award in Vietnam (CSI Award) hosted by VCCI, with the coordination of Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is the 7th year in a row that the Company has received the award and is considered a recognition for the efforts of the Board of Directors and INSEE employees in synchronously implementing sustainable development orientations throughout the value chain. In addition, INSEE was also honored in the top 40 Enterprises for the Community (CSR Award) for the 4th time in a row by The Saigon Times for activities that contribute to building a sustainable society, improving the quality of life of the local community and promote the quality of students’ future generations.

At INSEE, the Company always sets the goal of Sustainable Development as the main driver for all production and business activities. In particular, the activities revolve around three main pillars: Prosperity Development, People and Society, and Environmental Protection in member countries of Siam City Cement Company (INSEE). For the Prosperity pillar, to meet the increasing demand of the market as well as promote many activities towards sustainable development, INSEE Vietnam has continuously upgraded new features of sustainable cement products, optimize exploitation process and usage of raw materials and fuel in production to maintain the position of a leading green cement manufacturing company across the region. INSEE is proud of its entire portfolio of cement and green materials products, achieving the Green Label certification of the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and receiving the international EPD certificate for transparency of environmental impacts throughout the product life cycle. For INSEE Ecocycle waste management service, 2022 has marked the 15-year landmark of operating in this field at Vietnam. The service has been receiving the trust of more than 70 partners across the country. INSEE Ecocycle has helped to safely co-process more than 1.6 million tons of waste from businesses to replace coal in cement production at INSEE Hon Chong factory, indirectly reducing CO2 emissions by more than 1.5 million tons.

At INSEE Vietnam, the Company implements policies and activities according to SEDEX/SMETA standards to ensure employees' rights in accordance with the laws of Vietnam. With the core motto "Conquer opportunities" - "Confidence in dedication" - "Create value", INSEE Vietnam has been relentless in building a safe working environment, taking care of health and well-being and develop comprehensive training, create opportunities for employees to realize their full potential. INSEE also brings social responsibility activities such as the Kien Binh 2 primary school project in Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province, helping 700 students from poor households and ethnic minorities to go to school and providing a teaching and learning environment with modern and comfortable facilities with a total investment of 20 billion VND. In addition, INSEE Vietnam has built 15 residential bridges and more than 120km of concrete roads to serve people's convenient and safe travel needs, contributing to improving the quality of life of the local community, especially the area where the Company operates. In November 2022, INSEE Vietnam handed over the first library to receive Green Building certification in Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province, the 9th project in the INSEE Prize journey. 

With the efforts and determination of INSEE staff, the company has been continuously honored in prestigious awards such as Top 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam, Top 100 Sustainable Development Enterprises, Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises 2022, Best Construction & Building Material Supplier 2022.
The circular economy model, greenhouse gas reduction, biodiversity conservation, worker safety and health, and engagement with communities and stakeholders are helping INSEE to lead the best practice development in the cement industry. Throughout its value chain, the Company constantly organizes activities towards sustainable development, helping to balance the three goals of Economic Growth, Environmental Action and Social Responsibility in accordance with the brand philosophy of "Build for Life" that INSEE is pursuing.
