On 29 October 2025, INSEE Vietnam participated in the Vietnam Green Building & Green Transport Week 2025 Conference and Exhibition under the theme “Innovation – Accelerating the Development of Green Buildings and Green Transport towards Sustainability.” The event was chaired by the Ministry of Construction, in coordination with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment and IEC Consulting. At the event, INSEE Vietnam joined as a conference speaker and showcased an exhibition booth, helping disseminate sustainable construction initiatives and solutions to the professional community.

At this edition, INSEE Vietnam’s representative, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung – Sustainable Construction Manager – delivered a presentation on the journey to reduce carbon footprints in infrastructure projects in Vietnam, with a particular emphasis on the application of blended cement. In his presentation, INSEE highlighted the construction sector’s critical role in CO₂ emissions reduction, while introducing environmentally friendly, low-carbon cement solutions deployed in major infrastructure projects. The sharing session also addressed both the challenges and opportunities associated with adopting sustainable cement as Vietnam advances its green building development agenda.
During the thematic panel discussion on the “National Strategic Vision for Sustainable Development Goals,” INSEE Vietnam also contributed an in-depth perspective alongside experts, exploring how low-carbon cement can support the national green transport strategy—especially by reducing emissions and enhancing the sustainability of transport infrastructure.

In addition, within the exhibition area, INSEE Vietnam introduced a sustainable building materials booth where visitors could explore INSEE’s green cement solutions—clear evidence of the company’s ongoing efforts in shaping a greener future for the construction industry. Through on-site consultations and direct exchanges, visitors gained a deeper understanding of the features, benefits, and practical applications of each cement product line across diverse project categories—from key infrastructure and high-rise developments to residential housing and small- to medium-scale projects. More than an exhibition space, INSEE’s booth offered a fresh perspective on sustainable materials—where technology, the environment, and people come together to create enduring value for the future.

INSEE Vietnam is currently a pioneering provider of green building materials in the industry, with a cement portfolio certified with the “Green Label” by the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and international Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification. Our Scope 1 CO₂ emissions intensity reached 375 kg per ton of cement in 2024—significantly below the Ministry of Construction’s target of 650 kg per ton for the cement industry by 2030. This achievement has been made possible through multiple production “greening” initiatives. One of the most effective initiatives is replacing clinker with by-products from other industries, such as slag from steel manufacturing and fly ash from thermal power plants. When used appropriately, these materials offer additional advantages by improving cement durability and performance. As of September 2025, our cement products achieved an average clinker ratio of only 53.5%, contributing to a 50% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared with conventional cement.
In parallel, over the past 18 consecutive years, INSEE has continuously expanded its waste co-processing capacity—transforming waste into alternative energy to replace coal in production—with a thermal substitution rate reaching 38.1%. This is a strong testament to the company’s commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.
Aligned with our brand promise “Solid Builds for Life,” INSEE Vietnam is committed to remaining at the forefront of research and implementation of green material solutions, contributing to the realization of Vietnam’s construction sector carbon neutrality goals. Through every product and initiative, INSEE not only supports partners and customers, but also works with society to build a greener, more sustainable, and more prosperous future.
