The “ESG Leadership” award recognizes businesses that demonstrate strategic vision, concrete actions, and sustainable results in applying ESG standards into practical operations. The 2025 awards mark a significant milestone, as evaluation criteria have been elevated to better reflect global trends and growing expectations from communities, investors, and governments for environmental responsibility, social equity, and corporate governance transparency. INSEE’s continued achievement of this title proves that the company not only maintains rigorous sustainability standards but also consistently improves and expands ESG programs in a way that is in-depth and creates tangible value for communities and society.
Mr. Dao Nguyen Khanh, Head of Sustainable Development & Corporate Communications at INSEE Vietnam, shared: “We are honored and proud to once again be recognized for our ‘ESG Leadership’ at this year’s CSA Awards. This is not just an achievement, but a testament to the long-term and consistent commitment of the entire INSEE team on our sustainability journey. ESG is not simply a set of standards; it is our guiding principle in every strategic decision and daily operation of the company.”

For many years, INSEE Vietnam has remained steadfast in its sustainable development direction, focusing on developing a circular economy model in cement production while making positive contributions to social issues and improving governance efficiency. Not only pioneering the introduction of green cement products to the market, INSEE Vietnam also operates the INSEE Ecocycle waste co-processing system – a breakthrough solution in Vietnam’s building materials industry. Each year, this system safely processes thousands of tons of waste, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and conserving non-renewable resources. At the same time, INSEE actively invests in alternative fuels, recycled materials, and supply chain optimization to minimize environmental impacts.
On the social front, INSEE always places people and communities at the heart of its development strategies. In 2024–2025, the company implemented a series of high-impact social programs, such as building and handing over housing for low-income households in An Giang province, improving educational infrastructure in disadvantaged areas, organizing health check-ups for the elderly, and collaborating with local authorities in biodiversity conservation efforts. As of mid-2025, these programs have directly and indirectly benefited over 3,000 people.
From an environmental perspective, INSEE is a pioneer in the field of green building materials, committed to strict emissions control and compliance with environmental regulations. The company focuses on reducing its carbon footprint, aiming for a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2030, while ensuring water resource management and conservation are maintained and enhanced. Specifically, INSEE’s CO₂ emission index stands at 375 kg per ton of cement – significantly lower than the Ministry of Construction’s target of 650 kg per ton for the cement industry by 2030. This achievement clearly demonstrates the company’s relentless efforts to advance green manufacturing initiatives. One of the most effective solutions has been controlling the clinker content in finished cement at 54.5%, replacing it with industrial by-products such as steel slag and fly ash. When used appropriately, these materials can reduce CO₂ emissions by nearly 50% compared to traditional cement, while also improving product durability and performance.
This award is a well-deserved recognition of INSEE’s persistent efforts on its sustainability journey. INSEE stands as a model for successful green transformation in the cement industry – a traditional sector that faces significant challenges in emissions and resource use. Through a comprehensive development strategy, from technological innovation and operational optimization to spreading positive value within communities, INSEE continues to affirm its pioneering role in promoting the circular economy and creating a greener future for Vietnam’s construction industry.
