General Concrete
Our sulfate resistant concrete has been specifically developed for structures that are prone to sulfate attack. In order to ensure a satisfactory level of protection against sulfate the two main factors that must be considered during the mix design. The water/cement ratio of the concrete should be less than 0.5 according to ACI 201.2R Durable Concrete Standard. This low water/cement ratio will cause the concrete to be more impermeable thus, preventing water or other chemicals from penetrating. The mix proportion should consist of appropriate amounts of materials in order to prevent the formation of Secondary Ettringite, and Magnesium Hydroxide, which forms Magnesium Silicate Hydrate, which is responsible for the cracking in concrete. For additional assurance, our raw materials have been carefully selected according to ASTM C33 Standard.
